Another busy week for me, so while there’s been some interesting things going on, I haven’t had a whole lot of time to write. Here’s a couple of quick things that caught my eye, though.
This rant rocks: “Everything will be fine if you take a big breath and stop buying crap you don’t need with money you don’t have to impress people you don’t like. “ The author’s description of the “invisible money culture” are spot-on, I think.
More food angst here, this time from a commodities trader that is positively giddy at the moneymaking prospects of skyrocketing food prices.
I posted on this last year, but here’s yet another preview of the latest & greatest crowd control weapon, the diabolically-named ‘Silent Guardian.’ If you think that we’re heading for trouble soon (from food shortages, a stock market crash, terrorist event or some other reason), then you’d expect to see demonstrations and/or rioting, right? Well, woe be unto anyone who strays too far from the ‘free speech zones.’ I’m not sure if we’d get the pain rays before or after they set the Blackwater thugs on us (or which of those two things would be worse). It’s great to see that our tax dollars are going to find new and intersting ways to ‘humanely’ inflict excruciating pain on large masses of people. In past times, we’d call such behavior ‘evil’…
