CSU Hurricane Center Lowers 2007 Forecast

Some good news for those of us who know what a hurricane in the oil patch can do to petroleum prices…

Dr. William Gray, from the Colorado State Tropical Meteorology Project, has lowered his 2007 forecast to only 8 hurricanes (4 intense).  That’s a far cry from the 28 that hit the Atlantic in 2005.

Let’s hope that Dr. Gray’s forecast turns out to be true, so we can enjoy another year of (relatively) stable oil prices.  The time will come soon enough when supply and demand will drive oil prices much higher.
