Note that the article talks about how this particular variant of wheat rust has evolved to get around the selection process for wheat plants. This could have a huge impact on prices for anything that relies on wheat either directly or indirectly for the next 5 years or more.
Growing one’s own wheat is impractical for many people. I may pick up a couple of large sacks of flour soon. I’ll keep an eye on this story…
